Welcome

In 1987, i got my first electric guitar, it was a Series A. it was a Jackson copy.
Two months later i was starting a band !

My best friend got himself a Series A bass, black precision copy. We were in heaven !!!

It is really hard to find information about it, so i decided to create a blog about those guitars.

My goal is to find more informations about the history of those guitars.

The only thing that I know is that it was distributed by
Kief Music LTD in Surrey, BC, Canada.

Some say that it was made in Korea.
And i think it is confirm by a lot of contributors.

The blog is here to share informations about those instruments, so, if you have any information, please feel free to share it with us !!!!

So, after some research, there was guitar copy for :

Fender Stratocaster
Fender Telecaster
Fender Bullet One
Gibson Les Paul
Gibson Flying V
Gibson Explorer
Gibson 335
Jackson Dinky
Jackson Soloist
BC Rich Warlock
And surely a lot more models …

and bass copy for :

Fender Precision
Fender Precision Special
Jackson Concert

and Bass strings .... lol

thanks to all contributors,

if you want to send me pictures of yours, i will share it on this site,

    1. I call this guitar: SeriesA rg350, the original wasn't in good codition to do what I want but the neck was in good condition so I decided to make a new body for it. It is made in affrican mahogany. Yes this is not a real SeriesA guitar but I consider that is a custom SeriesA guitar

  8. I got 3 Series A

the fender bullet looking (neck is straight and the feeling is really amazing

The gibson flying v body and neck are really well made and more confortable than any gibson v the sound is excellent and the neck is amazing

The jackson dinky looking guitar, always liked the neck its like a fat strat with a jackson neck.. with better pickups it sing really well with JB humbucker

These guitar are pretty impressive they were made in the 80's and were the FIRST GUITAR BRAND from Korea so the quality HAD to be really high

  9. I have a Series A that looks just like the Jackson Soloist X Series SLX Taxicab Yellow. I bought it from a friend’s mom back in 2006. The floydrose bridge was cracked so I had it changed with a genuine Floydrose. Are these guitars any good?!

    1. More or less. Mine is made of plywood. so ... lol

But it was made well made in Korea in the 80' so, some maybe really good but you have to set it up and maybe change some parts like the tuning keys and pickups

  10. i had a Telecaster version of that Guitar bought in 1984-85 .. Beyond t i still played that guitar during concerts in the mid 90's .. Beeing a Who Fan .. it endured hell .. i even ( more than a few times ) through out the stages .. it also fell down the stairs many times in my high scholl days in the 80's .. But, what was incredible is that it had the narrow neck of the Telecaster .. two pick ups, same attack .. but here's the Kicker .. I Used the Neck as a « vibrato » ..loll on every song i played ..imagine , a teenager t'ill the age of 26 .. and bending it like crazy .. All the bandmates in all the short-lived bands i played with ere horrified at first when they looked at me doing this to the guitar ... some had Floyd Rose Kits and all .. well .. that guit remained straight, faithfull, so light and had such special and esay fell to it .. like one said on this page , the only thong was to ajust the height of the cords ..lolll that guit remained A1 all that time .. and everyone who had 80's Squiers ( they are good today , but then they were crap) .. many has ARIA PRO, HONDA, CORT, PHANTOM, VANTAGE, and others i don't recall like Charvel ( before it became as good as Jackson ) .. nevertheless . all their guittars which they caressed and took care of .. necks torsioned, electric failliuere on many corts( but they had solid bodies ) Vantage was the wose , hondo had neck problems ... anyhoo .. I bought that guitar for $160 buck brand new ... lollll and it was , and still is , an incredidble produt that whatever the Factory who produeced em .. well, they produced unsurpassed gear for that time .. t'ill ths day .. cause let's face it , the rest was crap . my brither's $400 ultimate Strat Copy From Vantage .. was made with « pressed ripe » woods , like Tama entry level drums up to Pearl export un the mid 80'S .. we got screwed by all established brands ( i was a drummer first ) .. but hey, Thanks to these musical instruments that allowed us to play music .. Good Blog dude ;) everytime ough ..

    1. The thing is that was the same factory as Hondo ... so .. it depends of the QC i think. My friend had a Series A strat copy, and it was junk .. so i think they were not born equal ..
